Subject: PETITION e-4084 (Health) – Support Better Health Care for Canadians
Dear Mr. Chandra Arya, The Indo-Canadian Community Centre Inc. (ICCC) respectfully requests your endorsement and promotion of Petition e-4084 (Health). This is a CALL TO ACTION to the Government of Canada and our political leaders. The goal of Petition e-4084 is to establish a platform for a national conversation to address and find innovative solutions for our ever-deepening crisis in healthcare which inordinately impacts our most vulnerable citizens. Headlines across our country trumpet grim stories of the fragility of our Canadian healthcare system as we navigate the ongoing impacts of the pandemic. It is widely recognized that seniors and the disabled suffer more than their share in access to healthcare because of digital literacy, language, financial insecurity, and other issues. They are our most vulnerable citizens, and we must, as a caring society, take action. Experts predict within 8 years; dementia care alone will account for what is the entire healthcare financial budget of today. Please review the additional supporting information on the website: yourvoiceforseniors.ca. The establishment of a well-supported National Brain Health Week will create an elevated focus and much needed collaboration to discover new strategies to effectively deal with these longstanding, complex issues. Since 1973, the ICCC, a non-profit, charitable, volunteer-based organization (https://icccottawa.org) has actively strengthened Canada`s multicultural mosaic. The 1.6 million+ Indo-Canadians across our nation have quietly and peacefully enriched Canadian society in many ways with their heritage, cultural values, and integral humanism. ICCC’s charitable, philanthropic, and educational activities partnership with University of Ottawa Brain & Mind Research Institute (uOBMRI) support diverse needs in the communities in which we live, work, and raise our families. Our members include entrepreneurs and professionals from across all sectors of Canadian society and we are immensely proud of their contributions to our country. We are proud indeed, that ICCC life members Mr. Subhas Bhargava-MSM and Mrs. Uttra Bhargava-MSM, have achieved success in the certification of Petition e-4084. This is a continuation of their lifelong commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable Canadians. ICCC will deeply appreciate your assistance and support to move forward this important initiative. Mr. Subhas Bhargava (us.bhargava1@gmail.com) and other ICCC professionals would be pleased to provide any additional information you may require understanding this initiative and earn your commitment and support for Petition e-4084. Kind Regards, For the Indo-Canadian Community Centre, Kanwal (Ken) Talwar |
