Dear Friends,

Greetings from the Indo-Canadian Community Centre (ICCC) – a “Values-based Institution”. You are kindly encouraged to register for the annual “Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas (PBD) Celebration – 9 January 2024” to strengthen ICCC’s:

Vision: “A United Indo-Canadian Community thriving in the Canadian Mainstream,” and
Mission: “To Connect, Communicate & Collaborate with the Indo-Canadian & Inter-cultural Communities in Ottawa.”

Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas Celebration

The Indo-Canadian Organizations, presently a coalition of over 20 organizations, is organizing this annual Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas (PBD) i.e., an Indian Diaspora Day. Briefly, the event is a commemoration of the (i) return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to India on 9th January 1915, and (ii) significant contributions to Canadian multicultural mosaic and the economy by Indo-Canadians.

Event Details:
Date/Time: Tuesday, 9th January 2024 (6:00-9:30 p.m.)
Venue: Mosaic Convention Centre (formerly Tudor Hall)
3750 N Bowesville Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V 1B8
Parking: Free Parking is available at the premises and on nearby streets.
Program: Cultural Performances and cuisine of India (snacks and dinner), and brief remarks from dignitaries. (Additional details will be provided in early January 2024)
Attendance: 400+ expected (from over 20+ organizations)
Cost: $25 per person (subsidized price)

Please note that ICCC has reserved 4 tables (10 guests/table) for the event. ICCC Life members and those who actively participate in ICCC’s numerous ongoing programs will be offered event tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
