Dear Friends,

Greetings from the Indo-Canadian Community Centre (ICCC) – a “Values-based Institution”. You are kindly encouraged to note ICCC’s accomplishments as well as attend and enjoy many upcoming events.

  1. ICCC’s 50th Anniversary Celebration on 17th September 2023

With a sold-out attendance of just under 200 at the Cedarhill Golf & Country Club, the event received rave reviews, congratulations, and very positive feedback from guests and Mr. Steve Reid, President CHEO Foundation (Children Hospital for Eastern Ontario) who will be receiving a cheque for the funds raised.

The motto of Great Things Happen When We All Work Together was apparent in ICCC’s successes and directions since 2017, as mentioned in the President’s Welcome address. Guests were treated to entertaining performances by ICCC’s seniors, women, and youth, followed by a delicious meal. Greetings were shared from the Honourable Mr. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, His Worship Mr. Mark Sutcliffe, Mayor of Ottawa, Mr. Chandra Arya, MP, and His Excellency Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, High Commissioner of India to Canada.

To mark this special occasion, “ICCC’s Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship Awards” were doubled to $1000 each and presented to four deserving students.

Kudos and special thanks for the “Team Spirit” and hard work of the organizing committee, Board members, performers, as well as cooperation and support and from the donors, sponsors, volunteers, guests, and many others in the community for this successful event.
