India will celebrate ‘Teacher’s Day’ on 5th September, 2020. On this occasion, the Government of India recognizes the contributions of teachers from India as well as teachers of Indian origin in countries around the world. The teachers will be honoured by way of ‘Teachers from India’ campaign.
The High Commission of India, Ottawa recognizes the valuable contributions of the teachers of Indian origin living in Ottawa, Montreal & Kingston. The High Commission requests and encourages the Indian Diaspora and Indian Cultural Associations in the above-mentioned cities to acknowledge the contribution of Indian teachers by organizing virtual events on or before September 5th, 2020 and send their messages and comments on social media by tagging #OurTeachersOurHeroes and @HCI_Ottawa (High Commission of India, Ottawa).
