————————————————————————

Dear Friends,

You will be pleased to know that the ICCC Youth Program has partially developed the following three (3) ICCC Resource Guides:

  1. Festivals & Celebrations of India
  2. India’s Contributions to the World
  3. India PPT Presentation

This participatory initiative of the younger generations, both from the established Indo-Canadian community and the ever-growing number of students coming from India to Canada for studies and other opportunities, demonstrates their interest and commitment to promote the rich heritage, culture, values, and accomplishments of India, and it is essential for accomplishing ICCC’s vision, mission, and mandate.

Please note that these ICCC Resource Guides will be improved and updated periodically. Although initiated under the ICCC Youth program, ICCC is hopeful that PARTICIPATION by many others in the community, including youth, with their expertise and valuable input will generate an ongoing interest in learning about Indian heritage, values, culture, traditions, accomplishments, touristic sites, etc. Hence, these guides are intended to be LIVING DOCUMENTS only.

As mentioned previously in Communique No. 29, ICCC Youth Program objectives include:

  • To enable Indo-Canadian youth to discover their roots and appreciate their rich Indian heritage, culture, and values.
  • To assist an ever-increasing number of youth/students coming from India (over 200,000) to properly settle and integrate in the new society – Canada.
  • To enhance Canada’s multicultural values.

You are kindly requested to visit our ICCC Portal & website at https://icccottawa.org/ for further details regarding the ICCC Youth Program, numerous other initiatives & accomplishments, and ICCC’s platforms, and opportunities for bringing the community together in a family-friendly manner.

Your feedback and suggestions for improvements to promote India’s rich heritage, values and culture, and strengthening ICCC are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Please contact the undersigned for additional information.

Thank you for your cooperation. Please stay safe and healthy.

Kind regards,
For the Indo-Canadian Community Centre,

Kanwal (Ken) Talwar
