Dear Friends,

The Indo-Canadian Community Centre (ICCC) kindly requests your support by signing the PETITION e-4084 (Health) – CALL TO ACTION to the Government of Canada and our political leaders to provide a platform for a national conversation to address and find innovative solutions for our ever-deepening crisis in healthcare (long ER queues and waiting times, months to get an appointment with a specialist, hospital bed, etc.).

Please visit the website: yourvoiceforseniors.ca to learn more about this nonpartisan, non-fundraising petition and how to sign it. Your signature will not take more than five minutes on a secure Government of Canada site.

Important: Deadline for signing this petition is the 16th of November 2022.

Background: Esteemed ICCC life members, Mr. Subhas Bhargava and his wife Mrs. Uttra Bhargava, initiated the petition for vulnerable seniors. However, it will benefit us all, and even non-seniors including your family members and others with a different email address can also sign it. Many have already signed the petition, and we need 100 more signatures so that it can be taken up in the Parliament. The government will consider this petition a priority when we are successful in getting several thousand signatures. Hence, please let us all come together to help ourselves by circulating this email to our network of contacts.

Briefly, the simple steps to sign the petition are as follows:

  1. Visit the website yourvoiceforseniors.ca.
  2. Right on the top, you will find petition e-4084. Underneath, it says “Sign Here”. Click on that.
  3. You will be directed to the House of Commons website. Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Sign the petition”.
  4. When you click on “Sign the petition” a short form will pop up asking for your name, email address, etc. Please fill out this information.
  5. After you fill out the form, please check the three small boxes at the end and then click on “Sign”.
  6. Once you submit the petition form, you will receive an email asking you to confirm it. Please click and confirm.
