2. ICCC Charity & Philanthropy Program:

COVID-19 PANDEMIC CRISIS IN INDIA:

The Indo-Canadian Community Centre is thankful to the Ottawa community for supporting the “ICCC COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis in India – An Appeal to Indo-Canadians to Donate Generously” and generously donating for this urgently needed Humanitarian cause.

ICCC has already collected over $15,000 directly to-date, and transferred to EKAL Canada, for the severe 2nd wave COVID-19 crisis in India.

The 2nd wave COVID-19 crisis in India has impacted many in Ottawa’s Indo-Canadian community in numerous ways. Please find below information about Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation’s Ekal Pranam Bhajan Sandhya – Fundraiser for Schools and COVID-19 Relief. You may kindly reach out to your contacts and encourage additional donations for the COVID-19 crisis in India.

Ekal Pranam – Virtual Bhajan Sandhya program is a humble effort to pay tribute to the front-line warriors & scientists worldwide, and the victims of the pandemic. It is a live program of bhajans streamed from India.

Ekal is playing a very important role during this pandemic crisis. It has affected almost every household in one way or the other. Ekal schools are instrumental in reaching out to 100,000 plus Tribal and Rural villages in India to protect and support them. Situation has improved considerably over the past few weeks. But, in India it is felt that the threat of the third wave is real. The following are highlights to maintain the existing Arogya program, and to prevent and control COVID-19.

“Training of gram sevikas (Paramedics), Ekal Seva Kendar which also serve as COVID Isolation Centers, Training of Ekal teachers in first aid, Call centers to provide telemedicine, Recruitment of volunteer doctors, Vaccination centers, Produce and distribute Face Masks,  Medical equipment, Medical and Food supply.”

The flyer below provides details about the program on June 26, and the link to join the program (click here).

ICCC appreciates your support for EKAL over the years.

Please contact the undersigned or visit our website at https://icccottawa.org/ for further details.
Thank you for your cooperation. Please Stay Safe & Healthy.

Kind regards,
For the Indo-Canadian Community Centre,
