————————————————————————
Dear Friends,
As you know, the Indo-Canadian community actively participates in various charitable and philanthropic causes. “Giving Back to The Community,” is an instinct developed through our rich Indian heritage, culture, values, and ethos. However, unlike other communities, the Indo-Canadian community participation financially ($), in-kind (volunteer time, products & services), and in other ways, is not well known for several reasons, and deserves a much higher profile in the larger Canadian mainstream.

ICCC plans to develop and publish an “Annual Report – Charity & Philanthropy by Indo-Canadians” with the principal objective to raise the community’s overall profile for contributions in the larger mainstream. This initiative, included in the President’s Report to the AGM 2021, to be successful, requires community support and commitment from individuals, community associations, businesses, and India-friendly organizations.

Your cooperation in completing the attached “Survey – Charity & Philanthropy by Indo-Canadians” will be greatly appreciated. The survey (click here) completion will take about 10 minutes of your time. Please note that ICCC’s policy is to report only non-religious and non-political contributions.

ICCC appreciates that in making your decision to complete the survey, you may want answers to several questions. Please click here for additional information about the scope, objectives, methodology, and frequently asked questions and answers (FAQs). Additional information about the “ICCC Charity & Philanthropy Program” is also available on the ICCC Portal & website: https://icccottawa.org.

Your feedback and expertise will be greatly appreciated by ICCC in the successful completion of this survey. Please note that your generous support for ICCC’s successful Charity & Philanthropy initiatives, based on cumulative tracking since 2015, includes: COVID-19 ($97K+), University of Ottawa Brain & Mind Research Institute ($20K+), Social Network of Women (S.N.O.W.) fundraising ($25K+), EKAL Vidyalaya ($60K+), Kerala Floods ($95K+), Compassionate Ottawa ($10K), and other local & national causes (>$100K).

Please circulate this email to your network of contacts in the Indo-Canadian community and India-Centric/Friendly organizations. Please contact the undersigned for additional information.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.

Kind Regards,
For the Indo-Canadian Community Centre,

Kanwal (Ken) Talwar
